the plain and simple pleasure of creating something

i am an inter-disciplinary artist; working primarily through the medium of printmaking.

i often utilize analog → to → digital collage techniques.

i am interested in the intersections between Spirituality//fashion//poetry//fine art.

i graduated with a BFA in printmaking from university of central arkansas // 2017

i hold an understanding that thoughts are things; each thought, carries with it tangible energetic substance, which in turn influences the material realm.

i have a deep seated desire to cultivate an artistic vision that is in alignment with God’s Highest Expression Of Itself.

it is important for me to reclaim the word “God” as existing beyond the constructs of any particular religion

the work i make has affectionately been referred to as “a hodge-podge of continuity.”

the dichotomy in this statement reflects The High Paradox; within which, we each live here on planet Earth.

High Paradox is an important aspect of the work i create, in all its mediums.

i work in a generative fashion, and draw inspiration from ‘stream of consciousness’ creation. juxtaposed with the heavily “equipment reliant” practice of Printmaking; i often choose materials based on structures that are readily available to me. i lean towards using materials that are relatively compact and easy to utilize.. (cut paper, ephemera, fabric, yarn, paint, markers, pens).

i have an affinity for making art with trash.

i am FASCINATED by words, letters, symbols, and shapes. i note their inherent power. there is True Magic in the manipulation of symbols (i.e. words, poems, writing, speaking, verbal communication (both spoken and unspoken)

i am conscientious of how i am using (my) Energy while I’m working on a piece, and how any art piece that has been produced through the filter of Me (rayne), has the energetic fingerprint of my consciousness signature; crystallized into a rendered form, having been directly fed through

Me As The Living Filter.

in the states i Create in, i work with the intention to cultivate Single Minded Focus as a means to express Creativity sourced

from A Space In No Time.

thoughts are things….and every, single, thing; no matter how perceivably “insignificant” that we may (or may not), think, say, feel, and do;

deeply M A T T E R S, and is witnessed in Neutrality, by Our Source Creator.

i am still striving to define my voice as an artist. i attempt to allow God’s Will to flow through me, in Love.

there are bits of me scattered about. i am yearningly gathering these bits; assembling pieces and shaping their traces roughly and softly all at once.
